I have never seen s-video at work.....is the resolution good? What is better for TV output?

S-Video is the same resolution I am guessing becuase it will be in the NTSC format like the rest. Here is an interesting chart that I found. You can see this on a television if you look at it just right.

S-Video is a LOT clearer picture.
