this, and the one following, are transparent .gifs with bg rem'd

time consuming to increase file size and maintain best quality, so i've attached the original size below with bg rem'd, as well.

hth. nice pic

If you have the original photo you can scan it at a higher DPI and then you will retain the look but larger size for web

Well, you see Peter, there really is no quality to maintain. That is an extremely compressed jpeg file. If you zoom in on it you'll see it's horribly scarred with jpg artifacts.

I gave it a shot but didn't have much more luck. I tried the image on a few different backgrounds to see how that affected things. Here's what I came up with:

Original size on a few various backgrounds

Enlarged size on a few various backgrounds

The larger one is slightly more blurry due to the pixel quantization and I simply had to apply a light g-blur because the jpg compression artifacts are so bad.

Someone could spend a lot of time trying to fix this image, but I wouldn't recommend it. It would be cheaper to buy a digital camera and just take another photo.

Those look great, but darn I just wanted a good quality one. You see, those are proofs that were posted on the net for us to view. The thing is that I am trying to make a cover for a cd that we are making for our wedding. I wanted to use that picture but I won't get the REAL picture for a couple of more weeks and by then it will be to late. I think I will ask for someone to help me design a cover that wouldn't involve pictures of me or my fiance. Maybe just something genric like.

Well anyways, thanks a bunch for the help you have been a great deal of help even though it doesn't look like it has worked out in the end.

thanks agian
