Neither. Get a PM5.1 or a Z-680 (if you want DD).

I don't know, but I'd choose the 680's over Creative speakers any day. The 680's have a bigger sub, clearer satts, and DD!

If you can afford it, definitely get the PM5.1. the 5.1 will offer the best quality of any MM system out there. Make sure you get a new set, though (03-B and later) because the old sets are defective. The new ones are fine but still have a full 2 year warranty, so rest easy.

NOOOOO...YOU MEAN KLIPSCH IS BETTER THAN CREATIVE?!?! Give me a break, they rule. Megaworks dream of being as good. For one thing, you're getting much better satts with a tweeter and mi-range instead of one cheesy full-range driver. In the sub, you're getting dual 8" woofers in a ported bass-reflex enclosure instead of that down-firing <thing>. The PM5.1 sub can hit much, MUCH lower, and is probably the lowest hitting MM sub out there. Get Klipsch and be happy. If you ever have problems with your set, they'll replace them for free (2 years full) and pay for shipping.

Ive owned the 550's and they definitely rocked, especially with music. MD1032, Cambridge Soundworks and Creative is the same company and they offer one of the best bang for your buck on HTIB's and speakers plus they have a great 45 day policy to let you try the speakers in home and if they are not to your satisfaction, simply return them (hifi.com). I prefer Cambridge over Klipsch because they are much more musical and natural, youd be suprised what that little neodymium satellite can do. As for the Z680s, google on Cambridge and Klipsch history. I just have a hard time letting a company that manufactures primarily pc accessories to also replace my speakers, even if it is just for pc use.

Heres one of the only head to head articles Ive read between Cambridge and Klipsch

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,3973,73282,00.asp

neosho, only your own ears can judge which set is better, all these reviews are just a matter of opinion.. and I also throw in mine

Klipsch Promedia - if you watch alot of movies
Cambridge 550s - if you listen to alot of music
