can someone tell me how to fix my firewall to not stop it from accessing the internet .
firewall-norton 2002
error message-when starting windows messenger-Access rules automatically created for
C: \... \SymProxySvc.exe

everything wass OK yesterday so what the f$$$

Download free Zone Alarn and ditch the Norton firewall. I've used System Works for years ,but their firewall isn't as good as ZA.

open up your NIS program window
click on Personal Firewall
then click on the Configure
Click on the Prgram Control Tab
Add the program you want to configure.

Set it for allow or not allow.

Pickle that is not a really good advisable answer, he asked a specific question and is looking for a specific answer,

if he wanted a different firewall application he would have asked for other possible solutions.

Plenty of people here who use NIS successfully. I do.

Thx for the response, problem solved it had something to do with my anti trojan, once i updated it everything was OK so thx for the input.
And Pickel i had that free zone alarm but it would stop my outlook express from accessing the internet :-( , so I've resorted back to Norton systemworks 2003 as I've had no problems with that "so far"
