Disabling devices

I've got onboard sound, and a PCI sound card that I need for a Windows setup. When I boot to Linux(MDK9.1) I can't get it working right. I need to be able to set the onboard device as the default, or completely disable the PCI card. Right now it defaults to the PCI card, but thats not the one I use for my speakers.

What chipset is it?
You will need to either recompile the kernel, missing out support for one card over the other, or edit /etc/modules.autoload (might be a different path in mandrake) and change the module names about, repacing the name for your PCI soundcard with the one for the onboard sound. This will cause the other module to be loaded at startup and make it all work.
