Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 Deluxe XP

I'm having a video format issue. I live in PAL_N PAL_NC country (I don't know which of those formats works for me.
I can't watch color TV. Anybody knows how to change the video format? I tried dscaler to watch TV and I could watch color TV succesfully, but I want to use leadtek software to avoid compatibility problems with recording, Infrared Remote, etc.

Any suggestions? Thank you very much.

Send a message via AIM to originel
if you've got an nvidia card i would recommend downloading and installing tvtool (get it here:http://tvtool.info/index_e.htm). this should give you the option to set whatever tv format you want.

EDIT:btw this is not a recording program...just adjust settings on the video card so you should still be able to use your leadtek software

Thank you for your reply.
The problem I have is not with the TV out of my nvidia card. It's just that I can't watch color TV in my monitor. The Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 XP doesn't let me to change the video format to PAL_NC or PAL_N.
Is there any tweak for this winfast tv 2000 board so I can change this options? Thank you again.

Sorry, I can't answer your question but the problem I have is that I cannot load PVR TV or FM.

The disc I got in the box is called "Winfast Multimedia Software Pack" and from this disc I cannot load the TV or FM stuff.

All I can load are the drivers and Winfast DVD. What disc am I missing?

Unless this is a very recent card with a "universal" tuner, you need to have the right, localized version of the card, with the right kind of tuner for your TV norm on.

While this dosent specifically answer your questions This is a good place to start to look for answers for tuner cards
TV Tuner Cards

Oh, and by the way those with the problems: that is so typical of the software so make sure and look at leadteks faq, as there is a specific convoluted way to install their driver and software.

" Taken from a faq that I keep stored"

Q: Why my system crash on the crossbar driver every time as I install WinFast TV2000 XP from the CD-ROM wizard?
A: Please do following procedure:
1.) After install DirectX 9, remove the current driver and application from Add/Remove program (find
under control panel). If it does not allow you to remove the items, just
leave it. It will fix itself after we complete the entire installation.
2.) Check under device manager, remove all the WinFast TV2000 XP related items.
3.) Leave the driver CD in the CD drive, then restart the system.
4.) When windows boot up, the "Found New Hardware Wizard" should pop up. Use
the Wizard and select "Install from a list or specific location(Advanced)".
Next, select "Include this location in the search" and use the "Browse"
function to point to the Driver CD. Point the directory to "WinFast TV\DRV\"
then next. Keep repeat step

4.) until all the devices driver are installed.

5.) After installed all driver, you will be back to your desktop. Go into
the Drive CD. Go into folder "WinFast TV\AP" Then run the Setup.exe to
install the application.

6.) after all application are installed, restart the system.

This should allow you to install the driver and application program for the
TV 2000 XP - Deluxe under all version of Win XP.

Q: After installed DirectX 9.0, as I install TV2000 XP, why the system can't not find "tsbyuv.dll" file? ( Windows XP and Windows ME both OK)
A: Never mind this message, please press "skip" button as you meet the dialog box again.

Hope that helps........

Yes it does answer the question. The video norm cannot be changed since the tuner hardware is norm-specific on the vast majority of TV cards.
