Best Quality cdr's?

Hey guys I have tried imitation sony and several others and they all seem to lose the silver coating on the top of the cd and they start to skip in my car cd player. What is the best and which one lasts the longest? THANKS for any replies.

I would say that TDK's and Fuji's are the best. I just tried to scratch the silver coating on one of my Fuji's with a pair of scissors and it didn't come off. TDK's will lose the silver coating but, they are great for not skipping during songs and such.

If you live near a microcenter, they have a 50-pack of 48x TDK's for five bucks after a rebate. I've tried many different disks and only like TDK's, so it's nice to find a good deal on them.

One thing I tried was buying a clear coat spray paint and made a good template and sprayed all the disks I was not going to put custom "sticky" labels on...worked like a charm!

I agree with FalcomPSX. I have been very happy so far using Fuji-Film cd-r's. Best Buy has a special for 2 - 50 pack for $9.99 after mail in rebates.

I have had very good experiences with Memorex also, with my second choice being Imation.
As fate would have it, I have spindles of Imation disks for sale :
