who has the asus a7v333 main board?

Let me try a new question.
Does anyone who has this board have/use a firewire/ieee1394 hookup?

Yep, I have recently built a pc running this mobo, I connected the firewire to the port at the front of my case.

I don't currently have any devices capable of using it, but it's there for the future.

My case has a punch out, but did not come with cables for the firewire. Did yours?

Yep, the case I got which was a JNC did come with a Firewire port, I deliberately got that case because of it.

I am not sure how you would go about getting a port, the only Wirewire connectors I have seen are PCI devices whereas all you need is the port and leads. You could contact where you got your mobo from and see if they have a set.

HTH

Well,
Newegg has it. But closer reading of my manual I find that firewire onboard is a option not on mine. I'll have to get a card. Rats!
