Online Gaming w/Router

Hey, I have a lynksys router. I would like to be able to host games in Warcraft 3 but the firewall because of the router wont let me. Does anyone know what settings i have to change to allow me to host games?

You will need to use the DMZ port on the router. That will bypass the internal router firewall allowing you to use the ports needed to host your game.

Just plug your cable from the PC into the DMZ port on the back of the Linksys router. Then open up Internet Explorer and type in http://192.168.1.1 then press Enter. On the next screen, leave the user name blank and type in admin as the password. In the setup page click on the Advanced tab and then the DMZ Host tab. Click on Enable. When finished, click Apply and then Continue to save the settings.

atomic is correct if you have that router. the other linksys router all you have to do is forward the right ports and go into the router setup page and click advance. click DMZ then put in the ip of the number of the computer you want in the DMZ.

also i would update the firmware for the router.

Ok i followed atomic's instructions and when I go to the DMZ Host tab I have to fill in my IP. It looks like this:

192.168.1.___

How do I know what number to put in there?

Also, what ports do I forward?

Is there an option next to "DMZ Host Address" that says "Assigned by the DMZ port"? If so leave that checked and you should be good to go.
