This is not intended as an advertisement. I just think that it DOES give a good rough guide to minimum requirements. Something which many are not sure about.

The first link has a limited selection of motherboards and CPUs but for something on the list it shows benchmarks done with various amounts of RAM to show how much adding RAM would improve your computer's speed.

Thank you for the Crucial/Micron links. The second one makes for interesting reading. The first is a little too limited.

I posted the other one becuause it speaks about ... minimum ... requirements and also spans ALL Windows Operating Systems.

Many forums still cater for Windows '95 right up to XP and that particular page allows people to make comparisons with more modern computers using XP and DDR RAM with a higher bus speed.

When it comes to really heavy 3D video editing with many special effects 64-bit systems with 16Gb RAM and 8Terabytes of virtual memory are already in use.

Thanks again. My computer actually uses Micron RAM and I deal with Crucial.
