Simple question about an IR device

Hi,

I have an Asus mobo and have got the IR device that is built in (windows states) Has anyone got this IR device to work with a remote contoll in Winamp.

Please someone tell me I didn`t waste my dosh on this device.

Um, you need an actual Infrared device to plug into the IR headers that are built into many motherboards. Not sure what you can get that plugs into it, unless those remote controls use the interface. I don't think they do, but ask someone else as I have never used the ports.

I got the IR device but could only get it to work a phone, I couldn`t get winamp to see it.
