IMHO W2K Pro is better. I used it at work since it came out, on several machines with very little trouble.
The only problems I've has are recent, on my old PC (PB6 + 2 X 333MHz Celerons). The original version just didn't like the SPs.
Apply SP1 to allow "Code Red" fix and "Find" stops working!
Apply SP3 and lots of things go wierd.
Reinstall and it becomes unstable, and all network and dial up connections are invisible.
New machine is only 1 week old, but has new copy of W2K which already has SP3 applied and, so far, it's rock stable.
Now if I'd bought XP I wouildn't be able to upgrade old machine with properly applied SPs, because it won't run on more than one box.
Several of my friends have XP and they all seem to have some sort of problems, particularly in networking.
