Stealthing a floppy...sort of

So im sure this has been covered somewhere before...

Ive got this AV box ive been working on for 3 months or so...and the only mod i cant figure out how to accomplish is stealthing the floppy, while still having it accessible...

any ideas?

i have had some wacky thoughts on this one but everything seems to be "too far out there"...

some ideas i had:

1. modding the floppy drive to fit inside the tray eject mechanism of a cdrom (so the whole thing ejects)

2. Modding a mac floppy drive to work on a PC. since mac floppy drives have a motorized auto-eject mechanism...but then not having the OS to eject it....and will it work with a PC? this is the way i wanted to go for a long time....

anyone got any thoughts?

How about putting it behind a door? You could make a little flap that would hide it's ugly slowness.

BTW: Do you really need a floppy?

How bout a USB floppy drive?---plug it in when/if you need it---plus since most oem machines are starting to eliminate floppys you could use it "later on" as well...
