You should be able to just type netscape to start netscape. If you want to add netscape to the menu you can do so through the menu editor, right click on the kmenu.
To find the location of netscape do a 'which netscape' that will return the location of netscape if it is in your path.

9.2? I need to upgrade.....
Local networks set up pretty much automatically with Linux. Try runnign a program called LinNeigborhood (comes with MDK) that will let you 'see' windows computers. Remember, you have to refresh it to see anything.

hey does 'which' work like 'whereis'? (never heard of it, although i've never really used drake either).
to get your computer to see windows machines you will need to download samba http://www.samba.org/ and install it.

I get this message
which: no netscape in (/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin)
and for the Network can you be a little more specific Redwolf...
Also I have this weird trouble with Windows XP, I can use my mouse anymore since I installed linux its an USB I will try with a PS2 to see what happens..
Update:
Looks like the usb ports are not being detected.. that's weird, I hooked up and old PS2 mouse and worked fine...
Any comments on this...

9.2 ?????????? When was 9.2 released ?
Netscape usually installs into /usr/local/netscape. You can create a desktop icon for it ........ right-click on the desktop, create new, link to application, execute: /usr/local/netscape/netscape
Easy.
To configure your network, just run netconf (as root of course), assuming your network card has been detected by Drake. |

You are trying this from a terminal window, running X, right ?
Also, type "xhost +" first, and then "netconf". |

getting linux to play nice with windows actually takes a little work. the basic networking structures for windows and linux are very different, so you need software that will "mimic" a windows machine (i.e. samba). basically you will need to install it then configure it it by hand to the comp name and workgroup that you want.
