Is there a way to disable keys in winXP

Hey folks,

My cordless logitech keyboard has been acting up over the last while. It keeps sending keypress signals to my machine. Same in XP as in Linux.

This key seems to be the logitech key which for some reason launches the calculator on my system. This is very annoying when playing games or typing as it takes focus away from the curent window.

Is there any way to disable the key in XP?

Deal with the cause, not the symptoms, IMHO.

Checkout the keyboard, make doubly sure nothing is sticking, ( happens with LogiTech)!

Forget the cause, deal with the symptom. Delete calc.exe. ( j/k)

bhahaha

==============================================

mmm... you could try uninstalling the keyboard software and just use winXP's standard keyboard driver.

No it is hardware problem not software. Problem shows up in Linux but the key is not assigned so it is ignored. Windows on the other hand automaticaly assigns it, even using the default driver. If i install logitech's driver then i can assign it to a null command but it still takes the focus away from the current window.

You wouldn't be using a Belkin KVM would you? My Belkin SOHO kvm would do odd stuff at times so I RMA'd it. I doubt it's relevant but I thought I'd ask.
