Enable 2X AGP

I have a Shuttle AI61. The current AGP rate is 1X but it is supposed to do 2X as well. I scoured the BIOS settings and even broke down and read the manual. The VC is a GF2 Ti (64MB) and I'm sure it supports 2X. Has anyone else run across this problem?

The only things I can think of is to install the latest AGP miniport drivers from AMD and the latest video drivers from nVidia . In the advanced video card properties there should be a hardware settings section where you can manually set the agp rate.

I'm up to date with the VC drivers. 44.03. Checked Shuttle's site for the miniport drivers but they are for W98 only. I'm using XP. I'm gonna root through the BIOS settings again to try to find something. If anyone else has any experience with this board, I'd really appreciate some advice.
Thanks
