it can be mixed...they all connect to the same internet...BUT you won't be able to connect to a system that uses dialup FROM another if it's not connected to the internet already

Welcome to TechIMO

Get the host connected to the internet. Have them go to a dos prompt and type: IPCONFIG

That'll give you their IP Address for you to use to connect. You'll have to do this everytime since the IP will change everytime they connect to the new.

you will want to connect to tcp/ip cause you are using it over the internet

it will ask for you for the ip of the dial up and depending on what os you are using to find the ip

win2k/xp

go to run type cmd then ipconfig

win95/98/me

go to run and type Winipcfg

There are no stupid questions
the only stupid question is the one you don't ask,

then scew up your machine so bad, bill gates comes to your house to electricly spank you with his anti-virus stuff, and makes you pay for the security patch, that then sees your machine as a hostile civilian combatant, gives you a BSOD in the eye, then smacks you with an entire copy of the dmca, binded in tree bark.

ask all you want we, all are learning from each other
welcome to TechIMO

you can ignore that middle part
