FSB mainboard help pls..

hi guys.. nice board..

hopefully someone can help me..

finaly got my cpu back today, and i set the jumpers for the cpu clock to 166.. (only 3 options available [100/133/166] ) bumped it to +2.3v and raised the cpu clock in the BIOS.. Finaly have it stable @ 2143mhz (2500xp)

I just cant get the fsb to read 333, only 166.. the mainboard is a Syntax sv400 it HAS 333mhz support, I jsut cant seem to find out how yet..

also, my AGP i cant get above 2x.. I changed the agp driver control setting a few times, but nothing yet to get it @ 8x.. it MAY, be @ 8x and pcmark is just fxking with me.. I dont know.. but any help any of you can provide will be GREATLY appreciated..

i also have an Atlas Precision 512 pc3200 strip.. i just noticed that the Syntax sv400 supports ddr266 .. could THIS be a problem?? im thinking about just chucking this board on eBay and getting a better board.. what woudl you recogmend?? i have an amd2500 barton // pc3200 512 // and a 128 ti4200 agp8x ..

Well as for the FSB, are you sure its not really runnung at 333, maybe its just displaying the non ddr ed rate?

Maybe its there but i just cant find it..but what motherboard do you have?

edit: ok its a Syntax sv400, i just never heard that brand before so i missed it.

im not sure.. thats the thing.. i ran pcmark, and cpubench 2003, but these do not give you your FSB speed.. and the board is a Syntax SV400 specs here..

my RAM is for a FSB of 400, would this hurt anything? the cpu tops @ 333.. should i get a 2700 ddr strip?

na the fast ram is fully backwards compatable.

Do you have the latest VIA drivers?

.. thats what i thought (knew) [ on the RAM ] b/c a pc133 would work on a pc100 mb ..

and i will check on the via drivers.. thanks, the ones i have came with the MB.. from feb of 2003..

hmmm.. no luck finding new'er' drivers for the mainboard.. any suggestions on a proggie i can get that will actually show me the actual FSB speed?

also.. toss out some good testing programs to test the PSU..

ok a program called cpuID will show the fsb speed I beleive. Just a sec ill go get a link.

neo youre awesome!! it shows i have 373.8 bus ... th anks... and the drivers should help witht he agp problem..
