asus a7v333 fire wire ques

I have the a7v333 mother board. There is a 1394 header on it.
Does this mean I don't have to buy a firewire card? Can I just get a cable that would go from the header to the fire wire hole on my case?
Edit- If I only need a cable where would I get it?

You could get a case with a 1394 socket on the front and connect that way.

My case has a socket , I think it's a socket, i just have to punch out the indent that's there. It's rounded on one side.
Where would I get the cable?

Hey Jdbic;
Your board does carry an onboard optional 1394, but unfortunately finding it is like looking for an honest politician. Even if you did find it, it would cost you somewhat the same amount of a card. Unless you want to keep your PCI slots open for something else, I would just get me a card.

when i bought my a7v333 i got a cable and a backplane for the firewire. maybe where you bought it from pinched this part from the box?

He didn't get pinched, there def package versions for this board.

Yep,
After I opened the case to find the header, It's not there. After reading the manual again, I found it is a option. Didn't realize when I bought it. I didn't need the raid when I bought it , so firewire was probable on that one. Guess I'll have to get a card, or a the board with the raid and firewire and then sell this one.
