Presario 2135US memory upgrade

Need Help !

For 2135US Presario laptop, which memory I will need.

1. 2100 or 2700 or either.
2. 184pin or 200pin or either.
3. DIMM or SODIMM or either

Since 184pin is much cheaper then 200pin, so I would like to go for 184pin and also I have read in this forum that 2700 is better than 2100.

So ideally i would like to fo for PC2700 DDR 184 pin. (If my system supports it!)

Didnt get much info from compaq/crucial CSR.They always refer to the manual where u dont have info in detail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You don't really ahve a choice on which pin configuration you get...that's for your system to decide.

What are your system specs? if it's relatively new (like my HP Pavilion ze5365us) is...you'll probably support only 200pin PC2100 SO-DIMM RAM.

You might be able tell from what's already in your system. Open up the system from the underside where the RAM is, there should be two slots for RAM...you should hope you are only using 1... there should also be a sticker on the (or both) sticks of RAM, what does it say?
