Button Mouse HELP!

In my continuing quest to perfect the input devices for my A/V machine (or whatever new hip term they are going by now), i have decided i am going to need to use 2 sets of keyboards and mouses--mice--meeces--whatever... i need to find a stand-alone button mouse to use for the input device on the case of the machine...any thoughts? suggestions on where to look? Also..does anyone know how to run 2 mice to one computer and have them both run successfully? As i write this i have some foggy memory of doing this to someone elses machine once...but those braincells have long since decayed due to heavy neuron firing and no cooling of my head/ brain-case

I've run a USB Microsoft Optical mouse and an P/S2 Logitech Wireless together... you could click on either of the buttons or grab either one to move the cursor... if that's what youre trying to do.. othewise i think there are Y cables available also...

I need to run 2 pointer devices ( still cant figure out plural of computer mouse) because one has to be physically attached to the case while the other is built into the wireless keyboard that is my giant "remote-control". all i need to know is will both input devices, one from my wireless keyboard mouse to the mouse port on the back of the machine and another to the usb port on the inside (to hide wires), work together? they wont ever be giving the machine input at the same time, but they both must work without having to change settings or restart the machine, as that would suck monkey butt...

also : anyone know where to find a button mouse? (no im not going to hack one out of one of my old laptops, although the idea had occurred to me)

i used to have a wireless trackball that i would use very seldom and a mouse(both usb) both wore logitech. when my father and i would be on the computer my mouse was always messing up. it would go places it wasnt supposed to. my dad learned he could mess with the mouse pointer with the trackball at the sametime i was using the mouse. when i found out what he was doing i felt really stupid.

here i go wasting posts now...

so no leads on a button mouse? i would go with the trackball idea but i dont think i can fit it on or in the machine where it would retain its asthaetical (?spell?) looks (read : complete stealthing of all drives and both LCD displays)

i dont know exactly where it came from but for christmas a few years back i was given a wireless keyboard that had a button mouse built into it.. the only problem was that it was IR so i gave it away.. try searching for a wireless IR keyboard any maybe you'll find it... it was some noname off-brand so i really can't help any more than knowing that it exists
