PC Power Cut
I've got a problem with my PC resetting itself without warning, and I'm getting really frustrated trying to work out why it's happening. Wondering if anyone's had any similar problems or got some suggestions??
It usually happens when I'm playing a game, the HSF fan keeps spinnig, but the PC switches off as if someone has pulled the plug.
Then I have to reboot/reset to get the PC running again??
I've checked the CPU and system temps, and they both seem to be normal, I've also checked my power surge mains socket, and that's OK too.
My main idea, is if it could be dodgy voltages coming from my PSU?? (QTEC 550w)..... EDIT: or a dodgy memory strip??
Just for info my system spec is:
XP 2600, Volcano 9 HSF, Maxtor 80Gb HDD, Liteon DVD, Freecom CDRW, Panasonic FDD, 2 x 512mb PC2700 memory
EDIT: I just had the idea about the memory strip cos that's the latest thing to be upgraded...?
