SPDIF out from Soltek mainboards?

Im trying to connect the digital audio (SPDIF) output from my Soltek SL-75FRN2-RL. I have the SL-02KIT which breaks out the 14-pin header on the mainboard to the RCA plugs needed for SPDIF connection. There is no documentation that says which way the plug goes, but neither direction works. The drivers are installed and no conflicts are shown in windows hardware manager. My surround receiver keeps saying “no signal present” so I think the board is not outputting anything. Does anyone have a Soltek board with working SPDIF audio? Is there anything else, maybe in BIOS, I need to check or enable?

Thanks!
Bob
