Erase a CDRW disc

Hi, I have a CDRW which is giving a bit of trouble, when I burn a VCD or audio cd onto it jumos and stutters etc. I have done an erase on the slowest setting in Nero but it is still the same. Is there a way of getting use out of this CDRW or is it a failure now?

Thanks Doot

What speed are you burning the audio at? The burning speed will affect the potential for skips and stutters moreso than the erasing speed.

Perhaps so.

I once burned an audio-cdrw, and tried playing it in my car. There were cazillion of cracks and pops.
I concluded that rw isn't very good for audio.

VCDs on the other hand have always worked fine on cdrw.

Get some new discs, they don't cost much.
