anyone have exp. with Truespace??

I haven't used it much.. but I did dip into true space 4.. and I have the inside true space book from New Riders.. maybe I can find a solution in the book for u

I messed with Truespace quite a while ago. I really didn't like it. Horrible interface. Almost as bad as Bryce if I remember it correctly.

it has a simple interface.. but one strong point over bryce.. is it does render good images... without the hue of blue pastel tint that u see in allot of Bryce images.. I've rendered a few images in it.. and they looked very nice.. but there is always better in Lightwave and Max..

txs guys for the info I am thinking of trying Max or light wave but have not made the move yet

anyway my problem is that I have a flat ring and I want to use a bump map on a portion of the ring (sort of like a track). But when I make the bumpmap and apply it it does not follw the circular path.. Do i neet to make a circular bumpmap or is it possible to make it work in the program with paint options???
