Outdoors PS 2 Problem

I am having a problem with my PS 2 console. The tray, or loading bay, doesn't open all the way. There is power, the fuses are working. Anyway to fix myself?
Thanks

Send a message via ICQ to PyroSama
Wrap tape around it for an emergency eject.

I might suggest taking to the place where you bought the PS2 from. They might be able to help you, even if it may cost you some money.

AiYoshing has the right idea. How long ago was it that you purchased the item? When we had a PS2 problem within the first year, WalMart was happy to exchange the unit after talking with the electronics manager. (Had 1yr warranty, purchased in Oct-Nov for a Christmas gift, it was over 12 mos that we bought it but within 12 mos of Christmas.) Can't hurt to make some calls first. I would not suggest doing anything to the unit because that may void any warranty.

We bought it over a year ago at Blockbuster. It came with a 90 day warranty. They stick to their warranty-so bringing it back is a no go. But thanks for the suggestions!

rats. Hope someone else here can give you more info about hpw to get it fixed. Sounds to me like you may have to send it back to sony or to a local shop. Good Luck, this really can be a pain to go through this red tape.

If there is a good side, maybe it could be that you could spend some more time with friends or just enjoying the time outside. Good Luck.

You could try taking it to a Sony Store and seeing what they can do. As mentioned before, it may cost you some money.

Thanks for all the help guys! I will try calling the Sony people to get info about any locals that can help with the problem. They might even be able to give me advice on how to do it myself! Thanks!
