Booting up new HD and installing winxp. Question.

Hi! Just gotta let you know i'm new to this forum and I've only got a little bit of technical skill/know-how so be patient with me

I'm building my own computer which i've never done before, putting it all togeither went smoothly. What my question was is if i plan to install windows xp pro on my new HD, do I need to still run fdisk and partition my HD or can i just go straight to the winxp pro boot disk?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question

Thanks

You can set your mobo BIOS to boot from CD first and then format with the XP disc.
