NForce 2 ROCKS

If I was to setup a single XP system, no doubt it will be one of the many varieties of the NForce 2 chipset.

Yeah, I just bought an Abit nForce2 board after reading around and seeing nothing but praise for the nForce2...

I have the Asus A7N8X Deluxe and love it, But there is good and bad in all of the different manuf's products. Facts for all nforce boards can be read about here. It may take some time to get thru them all ...but at least you can't say you weren't steered in the right direction.

The only real problem I've come across yet is the CMOS corruption problem. What that amounts to is if you change too many BIOS settings at one time your CMOS can become corrupted, leaving you helpless until you get a new CMOS chip. To keep that from happening, just don't change more then 2 or 3 settings at a time. Make a few changes, save, reboot, get back in the BIOS, and make a few more, etc.

Other than that, this chipset really kicks butt. I've got the Epox 8RGA, and I like this better than any board I've had before.

Here is an nForce2 round-up review with a Soyo KT400 thrown in for good measure.

The nForce2 chipset is the king! I have 2, and they are superb boards to work with... and the onboard sound (and graphics!!) are not too bad either..

So far I'm liking my nForce2.

http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/ is a forum only for nForce2 owners, and each board has a list of known issues with it.
