After looking at one of the recent threads here about blowhole, I decided I would give it a try. My first concern was that I did not want any grills on the top of my case. So I came up with an ideal. Mount 2 80mm fans side by side and use a dremil tool to modify the case. check this out. remember this is my first mod.

I have to have a plan of attack so I had to draw it so that I would have a prospective to work from..

What do you think. worth a try??

What are you putting over the fans in the shaded picture? It doesn't HAVE to have grills, just as long as you don't have a two year old who runs around putting their fingers in stuff.

I will use a dremel to put slots in the case itself. That was if I remove the fans , I will not have large holes that are open.

I see, that should work fine then. Some painstaking work though, if you do it, post us some pics!

It should be very simple..but time comsuming..My metal bit for the dremel is 1/8" so the slots are 1/8" with a 1/8" gap between them. I just have trouble on the bolt holes.I guess I will have to be very careful on them this time..
