Can't Access My Own Web Server

I can access my webpage fine from a computer outside of my network using www.mydomain.dyndns.com and with my ip address. Although when I try it either way from within my network I can not access it. Yet I can access my web page if I type in the ip in the computer i.e. 192.168.1.100.

I set up an account with dyndns.org to forward requests to my dynamic ip so I can run a web server here at my house. My web server is off my Win2K-Server using IIS.

I'm also using a Linksys BEF SX41 as my firewall/router. It is set to forward port 80 to the server already.

Hi there, is this computer the 1 computer you have? Is the webserver on the same computer you are trying to access it from?

If so you can try typing in localhost in IE's address bar and see if it opens up.

I have serveral computers hooked up on my home network and none of them can access my web server with the public ip or www name. But I can get to it with it's localhost name or computer ip address.

Oh, and no the manuel say nothing about a webserver.

Can someone verify that at least it is working from the outside?

Tell me if you can access this webpage.

That's interesting. I have the same problem, and I'm using dyndns.org as well. My firewall/router is IPcop, and even though I've done what they all suggested on the IPCop mailing list and added the fqdn into the hosts file, I still can't access the webpage by domain name on my LAN.

I can access fine if I use the internal IP of the webserver, just like Peter.

Wonder if this is a dyndns problem rather than a firewall/router problem?

Anyone else have any other ideas?

Cheers
Mick
