NTLDR is compressed message keeps coming on

Can someone PLEASE help me...I turned my computer on this morning and was given a message saying that a file was corrupted or missing, so I did a System Recovery thingy and then it gave me the message "NTLDR is compressed, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart", when I do that it keeps coming back to that same screen and message. Can someone please help me, I've been asking all around and so many people...you all just seem really kind enough to stop and help others, I thought I would give it a try myself...I was told that I would have to do a destructive system recovery, but then I'd lose all the data that I have put into the computer...I don't want that to happen, as much as possible I'm looking to see if there is an other way to get my computer back running good and have nothing ERASED!!! Please, can someone help me? Thank You all so much for your time, I'm sorry it's long, I did try to keep it short. I've just about had it...and just to let know too...I can't even open up to Windows...I have XP...any help is alot of help!!! Mahalo!!

Reboot your computer while holding down the F8 Key. At the Advanced Options Menu select "Last Known Good Configuration"---its worth a try---

Or try this afterwords if you have no resolve and/or no one else offers assistance: (someone will help---just wait a bit) :-)

dont think anyone else here has had their ntldr compressed but many have lost it recently - you could check those threds for ways to get a new one insted of trying it uncompress the one you have

ram error-run memtest 86 and then put new ram in-follow repair install instructions above

Hey would anyone know how to Uncompress the NTLDR? And I don't understand what to do with the ram error thingy..could someone help? Thanks so much you guys...the stress really isn't there....MUAH :X
