Setting up Bulletproof

Ok I posted here a week or so ago asking how I would set up an FTP server for my friends to use. The response i got was use Bulletproof.

1. Where can I find this program and is it free?

2. How do I install it (I am behind a lynksys router)?

3. How do I configure it?

no its not free
http://www.bpftp.com/

how to set it up behind a linksys router
http://pctechforums.com/modules.php?name=FTP

the manual works very well on how to set it account wise and permissions

they can use internet explorer, smart ftp, dos, flashfxp or any other client software to access your server

PITA ...you can get a trial from http://www.download.com/

For setting up an FTP for a while, with intent to take it down soon I just slap Serv-U on.

Ok I followed that tutorial and I think everything is working. Now how do I get my friend to connect. I gave him his login, pass, and my WAN IP, does he need anything else? He cant seem to get in.

He is using a program called Transmit (on a Mac)

He gets an error saying connection timed out or server hung up.

He is behind a netgear router, does he have to set up any settings? I followed the tutorial and have forwarded port 7000 and set it to listen on port 7000
