A7S333 help please :(

hi all, i have an asus a7s333 m/b and have been running a 2000 on it.
i just got a gift of a 2400+ xp cpu. i installed but it will not boot up in the 2000 setting, only the 1500 setting. i have used all the latest revisions, including the newest 1006 (bios revisions).
it will accept the 2000 setting but then just hangs.
is there something else i need to do?

Lets try this again with a little more detail.

First off, welcome to techimo.

Second, i'm not sure if were on the same page here because your using 1500, which could mean 1500 mhz OR XP1500+.
The multiplier for a 2400+ (2 gig / 2000 mhz) would be 15 x 133.3.
If the bus speed is set to 100 then it would be 15 x 100 = 1500 mhz.

when i have it set to auto, and at the 2000xp + it will not boot.
(accounting for the fact that its a 2400xp + running at 2000 actual)
