One lil cut without messing up.

I need to make a very small cut in the plastic front mold of my case. What's the best way to do this without chopping it up?

I think most modders go with the Dremel for detailed work... used at a slow speed if you're cutting plasic, to cut rather than melt it?

...But ALWAYS remember the basic rule - "measure twice, cut once"

What they said ...... but also .....

Take it off your PC first ..... you don't want all those plastic shavings floating around the inside of your PC

Cut it "fat" and file/sand it to perfection for better results---plastic is pretty easy to work---you could easily drill a series of holes and file/sand if its a smaller area...

i put an Irda in the front of my old computer. It came to be put in a 5" bay but the circuit board was real small and i wanted to keep the drive bay empty so i moded my front and put it above the frontal usb that was on the bottom of my front. I have a dremel but i realize how one mistake or bump and you can really boche a job so i magic markered the outline of the hole on the back of the front and then took my exacto knife and sliced and sliced in perfectly straight lines until the knife poked thru. It came out flawless and the Irda looked like the it was manufactured there. if your plastic is really thin this might be an option.
