quick screenshot Q's

hey all, just wondering if there's a way to take fullscreen screenshots while playing a dvd, and still have good quality. i know if ya turn hardware acceleration way down it will work, but then you end up with a kinda crappy quality pic. and with everything turned up... ya get a nice black square on the clipboard so any suggestions? thanks-

As far as i know its not really possible, when using the hardware acceleration it is using a video overlay, meaning ya can't get a screenshot of it... But yeh like ya said ya can grab a shot without hardware acceleration but it is a lower quality picture, due to it not having any post-processing done on the image...

SO yeh, as far as i know i don't think ya can do it, but there may be a way that i am not aware of...

yeah thats the response i was expecting thanks tho

actually i did find a program that will do it:

http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/F...ML/000667.html

but its for mac os x well maybe that will help someone out anyway, just not in my case.

and supposedly the dvd player packaged with winME can take screenshots:

http://www.activewin.com/winme/tips/b3.shtml

but i dunno if you can get that program by itself......
