Kids ethernet driver

hello.

i am trying to fix something for someones pc.

it cant connect to the internet.

when i go into device manager :

then i see a yellow question mark on the "ethernet controller".
and i think there must be something wrong with the drivers of the ethernet lan card?:\

and they couldnt find the diskette of the drivers.

what can i do now?

can i download drivers from internet and where?

and what if i format the pc? :\

If they used the ethernet to connect to the net and it has suddenly stopped working then you could try removing the card from the device manager and rebooting and seeing if windows will install the device properly

to get the driver you need to find out what kind of ethernet card you have so that you can download the driver from the manufacturers website. See if there are any markings on the card itself. If not try and download Aida32 from here install that on the machine and see if can tell you what the card is.

What OS do you have if you have a phone line you could always set a dial up connection and download it from the card manufacturers site! Good Luck

open the case and look on the network card. it should have the manufacture and model number on the card to make your search easier

Must be a weird if XP can't even recognize it.

I looked on that desktop, and see that the RTL8139B is a Realtek chip. Maybe that's your card?

I recommend GZ's idea.

Ok found it.

http://www.manly.com.tw/products/ethernet/ne320x-s.htm

Click on the "Drivers" link. (Hope you can read Chinese :P) Anyway, look for the card called "NE-320X-S/S1". I assume that Myson is a chip. Driver file size is 502kb. Download it and see if it works.

With Aida32 you want to look at physical devices and see what it says about your card but if it is the same as for the network then i would go and have a look at that.

hmm did a search for the fcc id and got a post on driversearch which you can read
here went to the sweex site and this card looks suspiciously like the pics you posted.
