Help with my hard drive.

I am using Windows XP Pro and I have a Western Dig. hard drive and I would like to know how I can format it. I have tried to right click on it and click format but it doesn't work. I want to do this so I can get rid of the spyware and everything. Any help would be great.

Please try too keep it in one thread I guess someone already told you that you should use adware. Unless you want to format your entire drive which will delete everything even your Operating system and you would have to do a fresh install.
