How can I improve my scores?

Here are my scores for 3dmark 2001

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=6624518

What Can i tweak in order to raise my scores. Nothing on my system is overclocked, I don't really know how to. I assuming there are some tweaks some as video card tweaks that I could do to improve my score. Right?

How could your FSB on a P4 be 100? I don't think that's right, it should be 400 at least... Someone else? Could this be part of the problem?

It does seem low to me too but my system is a Dell and dell always does weird things. If I go into my bios and try to change that will it be much of a risk? I only have two fans and a heatsink for cooling.

I too have a Dell, I don't believe they even give you that option in the Bios. You might try downloading sandra from SiSoft or some other utility to find out if that's really your FSB...

The FSB is correct, 100 quad pumped is 400 MHz. 533 = 133 quad pumped and the new 800 is 200 quad pumped.

Now, I believe your CPU would be the bottleneck, still, 9000 marks is still respectable, as I get less than 3k on my 1.6 using a GF2 GTS. Also, I doubt you'd achieve any overclocking on a Dell.

Okay, I wasn't sure if they took the quad into account or not...I do understand the concept, just wasn't sure if they did it like that...No, O/Cing a Dell is next to impossible. I'd like to check my 2001 score, but I have Direct X 9, would I have to uninstall it to run the 2001? It won't even attempt it w/ DX9.

I think you need the latest patch for 3dmark2k1 in order for DX9 to work with it. Rage3d tweaking utility would probably help you tweak your Radeon 9700, it's found at rage3d.com
