another "which video card is better" thread

Geforece ti4200 64mb
Radeon 9000 pro 128 mb

Which is superior?

and also - if they had the same amount of memory, which would be superior? (2 seperate questions here.)

Thanks.

Definitely the GeForce. The Radeon 9000 isn't even quite as good as the Radeon 8500, and the 8500 was made to compete with the GF3.

Well, the Radeon 9000 is a "budget card" just like the GeForce4 MX series. It's not a bad card by any means, it just won't fulfill the needs of a gamer very wel.

GeForce all the way.

I have a GeForce 3 ti200 w/128mb DDR, and it about ties performance-wise with the Radeon 9000.

Okay, thanks.

Which Radeon card was designed to compete with the ti4200?

i think 9500 or higher . but they cost more than the ti4200 so the 4200 is best bang for the buck i would think .

The Geforce FX cards are too loud, right? Does that hold true for all of the FX's?
