Food Computer Restarts after installing WinXP SP1

I am having WinXP Home edition and I have installed Sp1 and some critical updates. After doing this comp starts restarting in safe mode, LKGC and normal mode. Can you uninstall Sp1 from recovery console.
Is there any command for undoing the updates using RC.

THanks,
George

1. Start the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.

2. In the list of currently installed programs, click Windows XP Service Pack 1, and then click Remove.

The same applies to critical updates, which will be listed individually. Go from the most recent and work backwards until your problem seems to be resolved. It may be a bad installation of SP1 or a critical updated.

Yes, you can run the recovery console from the XP CD. Boot from the CD and try that.

You just need to do a repair of your installation.
