ResellerRatings - XP sale Question

Quick questions (this may sound stupid ).

This is advertised on the TechIMO home page.

Question 1 - why can't I find them listed at ResllerRatings (I would assume someone has rated them before ).

Question 2 - What good is it buying a COA sticker without the CD? How are you going to install XP without the CD???

Do I need to drink some more coffee and wake up and read this again or is something amiss?

TIA!

Mike

Send a message via ICQ to JPMiller
You must already legally own an OEM XP Home cd .... Then you can purchase just the sticker with a new activation license.
OEM only ...will not work with any other version.

So let me understand this (forgive me, I'm a bit confused ).

I have 3 OEM versions of XP home installed and activated on 3 different boxes.

If I built another box and took one of the XP installation OEM CD's I have and install it on the new box, buying that COA will allow me to activate it without any problems? I didn't know that was possible.

ya otherwise companys like dell would have to have literally millions of discs - it would be a huge waste

Thanks All!

Now for the next question...

As a system builder, if I were to sell that new computer to a customer, what would I give them for a cd in the event they had to reinstall the o/s? Whenever I sell a computer I have the COA on the back of the computer and include the original Windows CD (along with drivers, etc.) as required by M$.

I wouldn't think that copying the cd would be legal in terms of a sale??

These are just questions that are bugging me . I like to keep everything legit. If I can save $50 using a COA instead of buying a full install cd, all the better - I just want to make sure it won't come back and bite me.

Best thing is, sign up for MS System Builder program to do it all nice and legit, you get good prices, and of course, whenever MS has a promo like they are having now , you are the first to know.

Signing up is free.
