Choose new speakers for me!

Hey there.

I just got an unexpected commission check yesterday. So, instead of saving it, I will help the U.S. economy by: buying stuff.

I would like to get an upgrade for my computer speaker system. Presently, I have an Altec-Lansing ACS-44 (or 45) 2.1 system I got several years back for about $75.00.

I'd like to stick with 2.1 simply because I have no idea where I would put the other three speakers.

What are my choices? Sound is really important. Should I just surrender and buy the Klipsch 2.1 system? How 'bout Logitech? Monsoon? JBL? Harman??

Please help!

nice, that looks like a pretty good deal. You know you really want to go 5.1, im sure you can find space for the extra speakers.

Yes, definitely go with the Klipsch 2.1. Logitech doesn't have any high-end 2.1 speakers.

It's not so much a space issue. My computer desk is in front of my dining room table , so I am not to sure my wife will like the rear channel speakers on her dining room table. The floor is not an option because of the traffic through the room itself.
