Not the normal tooltips, taskbar tooltips, they drive me nuts
Hi everyone, Im being slowly driven mad by those tooltips that pop up over internet pages in the taskbar or shortcuts in the taskbar. They pop up just like the date does and stay for about 5 seconds then go, some are so long in length its hard not to notice.
I have got rid of the ones in explorer, in folder options, and have edited my registry with the 5 most common tooltip and bubbletip removal methods:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"EnableBalloonTips"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"FolderContentsInfoTip"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\tips]
"Show"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"StartButtonBalloonTip"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"ShowInfoTip"=dword:00000000
however there is as yet no method of removing them from shortcut icons on toolbars and the taskbar. If anybody knows how to do or could point me to an area of the registry dealing with the taskbar and toolbar icons I would really appreciate it.
