Filesharing through Router in Home Network

Recently, I just got a cable modem installed in my house. It is connected directly to the router and then to 3 other computers including mine. However, I have some files that need to be sent to the other two and no matter what I can't seem to establish a connection with the other computers so that I can send the files to them.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

for winxp to winxp

put both computers into the same workgroup

right click on my computer. click propertise, then name, click change then make them have the same workgroup name.

restart both machines and when you click on the network neighborhood icon you should see the other computer

to connect to the computer or map a drive

go to start> run> type

\\computername\shared folder name

i.e

\\jaysin\music

or if you want to access the whole c drive type

\\jaysin\C$
