RAM capabilities of a mobo

A certain deal just arrived from 'geeks, I'm thinking about getting it. At issue is this

Supports PC600/PC800 RAM, ECC Supported

I have not yet considered RAM types above PC133, so..... if I need to buy RAM for a MOBO which says PC600/PC800, will PC2700 etc work (in a backwards compatible fashion)... or am I going to get stuck trying to buy obsolete memory for it?

pc 600/800 is RDRAM. it is way more expensive then ddr. mobo's that support RDRAM can't take DDR ram.

RDRam is going the way of SDRam at this point...no new boards will support it
