Finance VAIO lcd monitor

ok so like i was looking around and i found an LCD monitor by vaio with a 40-pin connector and no power supply. having never touched a desktop vaio (but thier notebooks are sweet!) i have no idea why the hell it comes this way. can anyone answer what the 40 pins do?

the lcd has speakers and no power supply, like i said, so the 40 pins control the whole thing i guess. is there any adapter for those things? i want the monitor because it looks cool but i dont want to buy a vaio just to use it.

HELP

Does it look something like this? If it does, then it's a DVI connector. ATI, nVidia, Matrox and other manufacturers make cards with DVI outputs for these monitors.

Like my Radeon 9200 DVI

You could also try Googling the model number of the monitor to get more info on it

I know that is is not a DVI connection. It looks more like it would plug into a SCSI 1.27 CENTRONIC TYPE Female Clip Board, my monitor has the same male end (or so it would appear). Do you have any further suggestions?
