Prince OF Persia : Sands Of Time

Yes,
Finally a 3d POP thats gonna be good, how do I know? Its being developed by the same team that brought us Splinter Cell....
Website

I'm really excited about this game as I am with
*One Must Fall : Battlegrounds
*Doom III
*Half-Life 2
*UT2004

I'm definitely gonna spend more money on games than I have ever done before this year

Thanks for the heads up, always loved the PoP series.

Edit: Since it's from UBI and the creators of Splinter Cell, it'll probably use the Unreal II engine which would look awesome!!!

Check out the screens and the movies... it does look AWESOME ...
Jordan Mechner (creator of POP1 and 2) is writing the script and the devs. are looking incorporating elements of POP 1 and 2 (thankfully they aren't look at POP 3D!). Something else to note is that the game's protagonist is no longer Aladdin... they are starting with new characters and a new story which is sorta sucky
And yep it is using the Splinter Cell engine

Yep, all I did was look at the screen shots, can't d/l the movies, too big for 56k. Did you see the timeline of that flash movie? There's going to be 6, yes, 6 tales, I can't wait..

I read an interview on a website (don't remember which one) and the story goes something like this:
The protagonist's father invades a palace of a Maharaja in India. Upon his return an hour glass breaks, the sand inside the hour glass is a curse and infects everything and turns them into enemies. The prince's objective is to kill all the enemies and retrieve all the sand.
After an enemy dies sand comes out and the prince has a small amount of time to collect it, failing to do so will cause the enemies to resurrect.

Sounds good, but if it's not Aladdin, it won't be as much fun(?) I hope they can make the next tale better, Prince 3d was a little tricky trying to play because of the poor camera.

Gonna bring this up, sorry if it bothers someone.

I've played to somewhere like 20% of the game, and I love it. I don't usually like (anymore, I loved soul reaver back in 90's) these kinds of games, but this is just so incredible.
I played like 5 minutes, and was 'I want to be like that prince dude, he has some awesome stuff in his arsenal'.

Camera is still abit poor, but not that bad, usually it can follow pretty good.

The rewinding is a great thing, for a game that doesn't allow spontaneos saving.
