Well from what i'v heard basicly there pretty sucky...a GF4 4200 is alot faster then them. Really, by the time games need dx9 hardware, that card will be to slow to play them anyway.

i think it all depends on what you do with your system . if you want cheap stopgap but something that iwll do dx9 i think you will be ok . it is far from the fastest out there but if you are low on money it isn't a bad card i don't think . from what i have read , i don't have one , it isn't gonna win any races but for the money it isn't a bad pick . i you have to go to a ati 9000 to beat it and it is only single digit % wise faster , so in the real world they are about par . remember benchmarks and real world are way different . your eyes only see 30 frams per sec .

Hard choice. I'd take nVIDIA, but be sure not to bump into lower clocked card (325/325 at least).

I'm happy with my FX 5200. Purchased one about a month ago to replace my aging MX 400. The original drivers really sucked, but the new drivers, specifically created for the FX/Direct X 9, fixed all the problems I had. I've not run any benchmarks, but my eyes notice the difference. I paid $79.99 for it, got a $10 instant rebate and a $20 mail-in rebate. I think I got my $50 worth.

yeah i just bought an fx 5200 a couple of weeks ago. and i have to say that it is a good value for the price. its a budget card so u get what u pay for and for what it do (mostly surfing/mild gaming) it works pretty good.
