Memory Slows down when overclocking?
I noticed when trying to achieve a FSB over 150, my memory speed drops? At 150FSB my memory is at 374MHz. When I go over 150FSB it starts to post at odd numbers like 310, 311MHz???? What the heck is up with that? My old board: MSI 845G-Max ran fine and was able to achieve 400MHz Memory Speed at 158FSB. What am I doing wrong or is it the board?

ALtho i'm not familiar with your motherboard (nor am i familiar with many motherboards), I'm thinking that most likely once you hit 151Mhz FSB your motherboard is defaulting to a lower Mem speed multiplier than what it uses at 150Mhz.
See if there is anywhere in the bios to change the mem speed multiplier.

my guess and its just a guess is the two different memory sticks at different speeds. There are ofen issues when oc'in and using two diffeernt types let alone differnt speeds. AFAIK the speeds should have anything to do with it but just a guess.

I ran them together on the other board mentioned and they ran fine over 150... |

Sweeper, like i said, i think you will find the new board is using a differnent memory multiplier when ya go over 150Mhz FSB.

Multiplier:
FSB 150 & Under - 1.25x
FSB Above 150 - 1/1x
FSB - 158 (Ram MHz 316)
FSB - 140 (Ram MHz 350)

Check in the bios if there are any options for changing the multiplier, altho in many cases you will actually get better performance by running the ram at a 1x multipler (e.g. the ram is in sync with the fsb).
Do acouple memory benchmarks & cpu benchmarks in sandra to see the real world difference between 140/350 & 158/316... Ya may be surprised with the result...
