MS Query and MS Excel 2000
I have been using MS Excel 2000 to draw data from MS Access 2000 tables for quite some time. today I experienced a new problem that I do not understand.
When I go to DATA => GET EXTERNAL DATA => NEW DATABASE QUERY => select MS ACCESS for the data source +> point to path to the location where the MS Access database is stored
the wizard then pops up a message box indicating that "THIS DATA SOURCE HAS NO VISIBLE TABLES."
The data sources do have tables. I can find them when creating connections between MS Access databases. The problem is not occurring with just one database either. I have tried connecting to a few different MS Access 2000 databases through MS Excel and have received the same error message for all of the databases.
With MS Office 2000 Premium, I went to the control panel and did a REPAIR / RESTORE SHORTCUTS to see if MS Excel had somehow become corrupted. This still did nto resolve the issue.
Any thoughts about this would be appreciated.
